In Memoriam CEO, Dr. Greg Winteregg
Dr. Winteregg is a former practicing dentist and an internationally recognized lecturer, sales trainer, and management consultant. He has spent the last 25 years helping dental practice owners across the US and Canada achieve and sustain success.
After receiving his DDS from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1981, Greg opened a private dental practice, which he operated for 12 years. Then, he became Vice President & Partner of MGE Management Experts, Inc., a practice-management training organization for the dental industry. Additionally, Dr. Winteregg is the founder and CEO of business consultancy, Matterhorn Business Development.
Witnessing an increasing need to communicate the benefits of private dental practices, among both dentists and patients, Greg started the Private Dentist Association.
Chief Legal Counsel, Frank Recker, DDS, JD
Dr. Recker graduated Ohio State University’s School of Dentistry with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1971. Afterward, he practiced dentistry in Cincinnati for 15 years and served as a member of the Ohio State Dental Board for six. He then obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 1981 entered the full-time practice of law.
Dr. Recker’s primary areas of practice are professional licensing matters before state regulatory agencies, malpractice defense, and other litigation involving health care professionals. He advises health care licensees and national professional associations in risk management, First Amendment matters, and licensing related issues. Dr. Recker lectures nationally on these topics and has represented hundreds of health care professionals throughout the United States in a multitude of legal matters.
Dr. Bart Van Oostendorp
Dr. Van Oostendorp attended Brigham Young University and went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of the Pacific/Dugoni School of Dentistry in 2002. Almost immediately, he started his own practice in Arizona in 2004. In 2010, he moved to North Carolina, starting another practice, and has been there ever since. Dr. Van Oostendorp is a member of the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Association, and the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain.
“I became involved with PDA because I want to protect our industry from money-hungry outside individuals and organizations, so my children, who become dentists, are not crippled by them. To preserve the respect that our industry has earned in society of being caring and intelligent. To keep the cost of dental care fair instead of allowing it to run out of control as it has in medicine where the providers and patients both lose.”
Dr. Shilpa Trivedi
Dr. Trivedi is President of the Preferred Dental Care group of practices and boasts 9 years of formal dental education. She earned both Bachelor and Master of Dental Surgery degrees in India before her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the New York University.
At 29 years old, she purchased a six operatory office that she has now built up to being in the top 1% of dental offices in the USA. Her goal is to eradicate oral disease from society by providing patients with healthy teeth and gums for a lifetime. Dr. Trivedi believes that a 1 on 1 approach achieves the best results possible while allowing for compassionate assistance to any concerns related to oral health and dentistry. Dr. Trivedi is a member of The AGD, ADA and NYSDA and is active in various human rights organizations.
Clinical Consultant, Dr. Gordon Christensen
Dr. Christensen is the Founder and CEO of Practical Clinical Courses (PCC). Simultaneously, he is also Chief Executive Officer of Clinicians Report Foundation (CR), and a Practicing Prosthodontist in Utah. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics, Fellow and Diplomate in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Fellow in the Academy of Osseointegration, American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists, American College of Prosthodontists, Academy of General Dentistry (Hon), Royal College of Surgeons of England, and an Associate Fellow in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Christensen’s experience and research has led him to see that help is drastically needed. So, he has joined the Private Dentist Association’s Advisory Board and is continuing his dedication to preserving the quality of Dentistry.
Clinical Consultant, Kim Miller, RDH, BSDH
Mrs. Miller is an international speaker, writer, workshop leader and Lead Profitability Coach with Inspired Hygiene. She is a member of the Advisory Board for Modern Hygiene Magazine and a four-time graduate of the Bale/Doneen Preceptorship. Kim has 37 years of clinical dental hygiene and 26 years of coaching and consulting experience. During her tenure, she has mentored hundreds of dental professionals.
Kim’s passion is helping clinicians incorporate the medical systemic aspect of periodontal infection and adopt solid, science-based clinical principles. All of this for the purpose of creating healthier patients and happier, more fulfilled clinicians.
Finance Consultant, Rushi Trivedi
Rushi Trivedi is the CEO of Preferred Dental Care group, a National Speaker and Consultant. He earned his degree in Civil Engineering with honors in India’s most prestigious school. Then, at an early age of 23, he taught engineering in college before earning his Masters in the U.S.
After his wife, Dr. Shilpa Trivedi, started Preferred Dental Care, Rushi decided to leave his successful career in Wall Street and help run the practice. Within months, the practice’s income doubled. By 2009, Preferred Dental Care opened a second office in Manhattan with 14 operatories, a lab on premises and all specialties under one roof. The practice group is now in the top 1% of dental practices in the country.
